The economic impact of Covid-19 is still a very valid concern in the business world.
First is the comparison of new orders and sales. Between September and October Manufacturers appear to be holding steady, where as Nonmanufacturers are showing a slight decrease in new orders and sales. Overall there is a small loss between the two surveys.

There continues to be a trend of no changes or an increase of hiring new full-or part-time employees. With fear of infection dropping to the bottom of the list of impediments in hiring or recalling workers. (there was no information in the October survey regarding this field of the survey)
The future is still uncertain and can change at anytime. Many aspects of business hinge on opening of schools to relieve the need of childcare and the looming uncertainty of what lies ahead in the upcoming flu season and any changes in an increase or decrease of Covid-19.
