End of Year Check List

When preparing you company for the end of the year we at Turning Point Advisory Group, think you should keep some key factors in mind.

1. A Business Plan for the future

a. Is your company making preparations for the future?

b. Are you preparing safety nets for your business for any hiccups you and your company may face?

c. Evaluating your staff and staffing

i. Do you have the right people in the right places?

ii. Are you staffed with the right amount of people?

iii. How is your management team doing?

d. Are you prepared for a future shut down and have a plan in place for such an occurrence?

e. Are you ready to move on and leave your company in the capable hands of a successor?

i. Do you have someone in place or plan in place to allow you to move on from your business? We know you can never really leave something you spent so much time and energy building, but when it comes time to step back is there someone there to fill your shoes?

ii. Are you thinking of retirement and what does that look like for you and your future?

2. Looking Back at this past year

a. Look through your bookkeeping and see how you’ve done as a business

b. How has Covid-19 affected your business and your employees

i. How do your employees feel about their work environment?

1. Are they virtual and if so, how has that effected their work ethic?

a. Do they want to return to an office environment?

ii. Is your company ready for virtual operations if needed?

c. Did your business utilize a PPP Loan?

i. Do you have questions about the loan and loan repayment?

This checklist is just a few things to consider at the end of the year and help you re-evaluate the status of your company.
